117. Otero Museum
The museum documents and illustrates the history of Otero County in southeastern Colorado. The museum has exhibits illustrating transportation, military, postal, agricultural, business, schools, and many other aspects of life from pioneer times through the entrance of the nation onto the world stage. Be sure to ask to see the building that has Santa Fe Trail information, as well as a chuck wagon, stagecoach, and clothing owned by Kit Carson.
