  • 118d. Directions to La Junta Spring

    Stop sign on the corner of a T-shaped intersection. A barricade is located across the street in front of several trees.
    Located near La Junta Junior/Senior High School, look for the intersection of E. 16th Street and Smithland Avenue.

    Across from the water tower, you will see barricades and a limestone Santa Fe Trail marker. Walk straight ahead (east) until you see another limestone marker on your left. Behind the marker and the barbed wire fence you’ll see the spring site.
